Networking practice

Networking engineered across every domain. Run by your team.

BTA designs and operates networks across campus, wide-area, and data center — software-defined and orchestrated end to end. Deep routing, high-availability, and segmentation expertise, delivered through the SIMPLE methodology and handed off so your team owns Day-2.

Software-defined, multi-domain

One policy fabric, not three siloed networks.

Software-defined networking gives the campus, the WAN, and the data center a common control model. BTA orchestrates across those domains so policy and automation do not stop at a boundary.

Software-Defined Access

Campus fabric with identity-aware segmentation. Policy follows the user, not the switch port.

Software-Defined WAN

Application-aware connectivity across sites and clouds, with security enforced on every path.

Software-Defined Data Center

A virtualized fabric where networks, policy, and services are provisioned through software.

Multi-domain orchestration ties Software-Defined Access, SD-WAN, and the Software-Defined Data Center into one operating model — so a policy intent is enforced consistently from the campus edge to the data center fabric.

NetDevOps

Networking, managed as code.

Infrastructure as Code brings version control, automated testing, and repeatable deployment to the network.

BTA applies NetDevOps practice to network change: configuration expressed as code, validated through automated testing and QA, and deployed in controlled, reversible steps. The result is consistent, accurate, automated network management — and an audit trail for every change.

See policy automation in Optimize
  • Version-controlled config

Every network change tracked, reviewed, and reversible.

  • Automated testing & QA

Changes validated before they reach production.

  • Repeatable deployment

Iterative rollout with consistent, predictable results.

  • Audit-grade trails

A defensible record of who changed what, and when.

How it fits

Networking across the four pillars.

The networking practice is not a separate silo. It delivers through BTA's four outcome pillars — Protect, Detect, Optimize, and Observe.

Delivery models

Meet your team where it is.

Whether you need consulting, deployment, optimization, or fully managed operations, every networking engagement runs on the SIMPLE methodology.

  • Consulting & Advisory

Assess the network, define policy, and map the design path forward.

  • Deployment

Expert configuration, automation, and policy development, executed in production.

  • Optimization

Assessment, testing, and automation that lift performance and efficiency.

  • Managed Services

BTA runs network automation, segmentation, and security under your governance.

  • Enablement

Structured frameworks and tooling so your team can scale network automation.

  • Mentoring

Hands-on transfer of real-world networking practice to your engineers.

Networking · FAQ

Common questions about BTA networking.

Direct answers to what most prospective clients want to know on a first call.

  • Is networking a separate practice from BTA's security work?

No. Networking and security are delivered under one model. Segmentation, Zero Trust architecture, and detection are networking work as much as security work. The networking practice routes into BTA's four outcome pillars rather than sitting beside them.
  • Do you work outside Cisco?

Cisco is the deepest practice — ACI, Nexus, Catalyst, Meraki, SD-WAN, ISE. Engagements regularly span the broader ecosystem, including Palo Alto Networks, F5, Arista, and the major cloud networking stacks.
  • What is multi-domain orchestration?

Most networks are run as siloed domains — campus, WAN, and data center managed separately, with policy that stops at each boundary. BTA designs and operates across those domains so policy and automation are consistent end to end.
  • Can you assess a network before we commit to a project?

Yes. A network assessment is a defined, short engagement that surfaces design debt, availability risk, and exposure, with a prioritized path forward. It is delivered under the Detect pillar.
  • Do you leave us able to run the network ourselves?

Yes. Every networking engagement runs on the SIMPLE methodology, and the Evolve stage enforces handoff. Mentoring is built in so your team owns Day-2 operations.
